Amazon is now hiring 1,500 full-time employees ahead of the much-anticipated launch of its new fulfillment center in Romulus.
Full-time Amazon employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) with a 50 percent match, bonuses, company stock awards and programs like Career Choice, where Amazon may pre-pay up to 95 percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields, regardless of whether the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon, the press release said.Read More
Bike Sharing Service MoGo to Expand to Five Metro Detroit Cities
MoGo, Detroit’s bike sharing service, today announced that after more than a year of operation, the program will expand to Berkley, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, and Royal Oak.
The expansion will add about 30 new stations and nearly 150 bikes. The expansion was made possible through a $495,380 Transportation Alternatives Program grant awarded by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments.Read More
