There’s always something happening near you — come support your local SE Michigan community!
Community Events
In an effort to practice social distancing at this time, below are some community activities to keep you and your loved ones busy and safe:
- Help Seniors or Others in Isolation. To summarize, check in with the people in your neighborhood even
if that means running errands, delivering food, perhaps maybe even picking up medication. - Raise Money for an Organization. Especially, assist by spreading the word to crowdfund these
relief funds during this isolation. For example, GoFundMe and Global Impact can help provide medical
supplies or even public health. - Donate Blood. Most people are hesitant but donating blood is still very safe and should still
be encouraged. To summarize, you can still donate today by making an
appointment at RedCrossBlood.org. - Fostering or Adopt Animals. Many shelters have closed to the public or even cancelled most of
all the events. As a result it means fewer animals are being adopted, show support
by finding a shelter near you. - Spreading Cheer and Postive Messages. Are you going for a walk in your neighborhood?
With this in mind, spread the love by creating positive uplifting chalk art. Or begin
painting kindness rocks for the local community. - Spread Facts and Promote. In conclusion, we can all work together to stop the misinformation from these
official media sources. Ultimately as a community we can put our focus on how we can improve and
what information is the actual truth.
